The gravamen of the report is that the independent counsel failed to find sufficient evidence that Sarah Palin had used her office to affect a personal interest; the dismissal of her brother in law.B
To get to where Mr. Petumenos wants to take you, he first opines that a court could find that the Alaska Ethics [...]

The issue of the legality or the morality of the Republican National Committee’s spending $150,00 to dress up “Caribou Barbie” and her brood is open to debate, but one comment left me in awe of the power of mankind to blind themselves to reality.
The comment made, in response to Sarah Palin, Fashionista on the RNC [...]

This a reply to Jaimes Rainey’s article appearing in the Los Angeles Times, CNN bid to tie Palin to secessionists is a stretch – The cable news network fails to show that Sarah Palin embraced the call by some in the Alaskan Independence Party to sever their beloved state from ‘the Lower 48.’
Early in the article, CNN is accused [...]

What do the secessionists of the Alaskan Independence Party have in common with Senator John McCain and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin?
I seriously doubt that Senator McCain would agree with Dexter Clark, Vice Chairman of the AIP Northern Division, that United States Armed Forces stationed in Alaska are “occupation troops”. As for what Sarah Palin thinks [...]

Has it dawned on anyone that, with the exception of a few months, Todd Palin was a member of the secessionist Alaskan Independence Party from 1996 to 2002 and Sarah Palin was the Mayor of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002?
It seems too much to be a mere coincidence and gives one to surmise that the [...]

Much has been written about Senator John McCain’s pick of Sarah Palin. Barack Obama supporters criticize of the Democratic presidential nominee’s choice, while many conservative Republicans hail it as a master maverick stroke.
Given that the number 2’s main function in campaigning is said to be attacking number 1’s opponent, McCain and his vetters may have [...]

If you haven’t heard anything about rape victims being charged for rape kits, when Sarah Palin was Mayor of Wasilla, you may wish to begin with a USA Today article, “Palin’s town used to bill victims for rape kits.” The Los Angeles Times reported.
When Sarah Palin was mayor of Wasilla, the city billed sexual assault [...]

The corruption trial of Senator Ted Steven of Alaska, political ally and mentor of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. is nearing its conclusion.
One of the chief witnesses against Stevens is wealthy oilman and past VECO, Inc. chairman, Bill Allen.
Allen turned state’s evidence against his long time buddy, after pleading guilty to federal bribery charges in connection [...]

McCain-Palin apologists should take care of what they say.
A Republican talking point is the Alaska abuse of power statute applies to financial and not personal benefits and, since getting Wooten was a personal benfit, the finding that Palin breached the ethics act is wrong on its face.
Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act [...]

Alaska Governor Sara Palin and the McCain-Palin campaign are doing their best to discredit the Alaska Legislative Council report. One of their arguments is it makes no sense to say that Palin’s effort to pressure Monegan to fire Wooten was an abuse of power, but Monegan’s firing for resisting the same unlawful pressure was lawful.
