The corruption trial of Senator Ted Steven of Alaska, political ally and mentor of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. is nearing its conclusion.
One of the chief witnesses against Stevens is wealthy oilman and past VECO, Inc. chairman, Bill Allen.

Alaska Governor Sara Palin and the McCain-Palin campaign are doing their best to discredit the Alaska Legislative Council report. One of their arguments is it makes no sense to say that Palin’s effort to pressure Monegan to fire Wooten was an abuse of power, but Monegan’s firing for resisting the same unlawful pressure was lawful.
